    The Basics

This is the first time I have ever went to a web site to ask an instructor a question, however I need help I do not know what I am doing, so here goes.

Which of the following sentences is an example of a declarative sentence?

a.) That's the strangest thing I've ever seen!
b.) Who let the dog out?
c.) All you need is love.
d.) Do as you are told.

I am confused by the definition in the dictionary, I just need an example to follow.

    Look here:
    The Purpose of a Sentence

    a) is exclamatory (an exclamation)
    b) is interrogative (a question)
    c) is declarative (it declares something)
    d) is imperative.

Did you think to do a web search for "declarative sentence"?
