    A spring semestre (August - December) is equal to a 1st semestre, right?

    Springs starts in september in here actually.

    In Brazil the first (academic) semester starts in march. I don't know how it's in Argentina. But because of the tendency of this country to be european-like everything is possible . You should contact the University to make sure.
