Default They have got up full of energy today

Why "They have got up full of energy today" is considered as bad English?
    How can it be improved?
    Thanks so much.

Because it is bad English; its meaning is not clear.
If you mean that today they woke up full of energy, say 'They (awoke)(woke up)(got up) full of energy today.' If that's the meaning you want to express, omit the "have".

If you just mean that 'they are full of energy today', say that.
