    Correct Format for writing 1930s

In writing an English composition, what are the rules for writing 1930s. As "in the 1930s, ... or it was a 1930's trend" Are there more than one rule?

Re: Correct Format for writing 1930s

    Welcome to the forums.

No rule. Some people prefer 1930s, others prefer the apostrophe. More important is to be consistent.
