    How would you pronounce the last name Horne? Is the E silent? Can you end a last name in a silent E?

    It is a silent "e".

    Yes, you can end surnames with a silent "e" - Sharpe, Bagshawe, Ballantine, Gillespie, Paige, Paine to name a few.
