    Which one is more common in everyday English: Mary has three siblings or Mary has one brother and two sisters?

    The word 'sibling' is usually only used in an academic (sociology, anthropology, criminology...) or legalistic context.

    I come to the conclusion that Im unlikely to hear a question like "how many siblings do you have?", in a conversation with a native... Right?
