    pay me a little attention

Hello, could you help what will be the the most natural way to say, instead of "pay attention"? (I'm not sure if I can say "pay attention"
    in this context..

A: Honey, why did not you pick up my phone for three days?
B: Oh, did you call me? I didn't pay attention (or I didn't notice) to the phone, sorry.
A: That's ok.. anyways, can’t you feel I’m look different?
B: No, you look same as yesterday.
A: I changed hair style. Would you pay me a little attention please? You are too much.

    Many thanks

"I wasn't paying attention to the phone". The sentence is OK, but it's not a convincing excuse. Most people hear the phone even if they aren't paying attention.
"I didn't notice the phone". Also a good sentence, but a bad excuse.

    The second example is right.

Re: pay me a little attention

A: I haven't been able to reach you for three days.
    B: I haven't been answering the phone.

    A: Can't you tell I look different?
B: No, you look the same as always.
A: I changed my hair style. Can't you pay me a little attention?
