Question American education (Re: the Simpsons)

    Context:

In an episode of American cartoon -the Simpsons, two group people had a run in. Here's the snippet of the dialogue. I don't understand what they were talking about. And the other scenes or dialogues seems irrelevant to this so I don't offer more context. Could someone please help me out?

    A: Springfield sucks!

    B: A&M cheerleaders are clumsy!

A: Your superstar professors treat undergrads like an afterthought!

B: Your tenure track is heavily politicized!

    Questions:

Q1: Why did A denouce B as below:

Your superstar professors treat undergrads like an afterthought!

Q2: Why did B say " A's tenure track is heavily politicised!'?

    Many thanks!

At first, they are trading insults - and then the insults get into academic discussions. This is humor that would appeal to people in higher educational settings. More of a political commentary than humor.

    B: A&M cheerleaders are clumsy!

A: Your superstar professors (well known teachers) treat undergrads like an afterthought! (like they don't exist)

B: Your tenure track (professors who have job security) is heavily politicized! (is based on politics or who you know)
