    Can you please simplify the meaning of underlined words?

    Conventional wisdom has held that there was only a small three-to six-month window following a stroke when rehabilitation could help a patient.

    Why it has talked about wisdom?

    In this case 'conventional wisdom' means 'generally accepted opinion'.
