    Default Please correct any mistakes

    Hello!
Could you take a look and correct any mistakes in this text?
    Thank you

The holidays are before us so I've decided to briefly introduce its characteristics.
The Christmas holidays are very special because every one of us expects for a secret wish to come true. This is also one of the loveliest times of the year because the stores are decorated with lights and Christmas trees, the streets are full of lights, Santa and his reindeers are set in front of people's houses, shops are filled with Christmas junk...
Nevertheless we all benefit from December in some sort of way. Children are excitingly expecting St Nicholas, Santa and Jack Frost. It's holiday time for us students and also the time when families gather round the table and chat. However, we mustn't forget that this is not only a time of presents, but there is also a Christian holiday hidden behind-Christmas. Jesus Christ, the saviour, was born on this day, so this is a great and happy holiday for the Christians.
People have slowly brought in this festive time little things such as presents we receive from the people that are closest. And of course the richly set tables shouldn't be left out.

    Very good grammatically.
"Nevertheless" is not the right linking word here because both paragraphs have the same positive tone. "Furthermore" would be more appropriate (or some simpler alternative like "also".
