    WHAT DOES"passive participle"mean?

    I am not a teacher

    Could someone please explain to me what
    "passive
    participle" means?

    Ex:
    The student, having been praised by the teacher, was happy.

    Yes, that's the idea behind the passive; the act of praising was performed by the teacher. The student was on the receiving end of the praise.
