    Let it stand there?

    Dear Teachers,

During a television debate I thought I heard the moderator say, "Sorry guys, we've got to let it stand there, " to indicate that the time was up. Did I hear correctly?

    Thank you.

Probably you did. Where was the debate taking place?
In North America, it would be more common to hear '...we've got to (leave)(end) it there.'
