    Hi-

"In case" is followed by a clause: In case you aren't here tomorrow, I'll call you. It acts like a conditional. The "in case" clause becomes a dependent clause, requiring an independent clause to finish the idea.

"In case of" is followed by a noun or noun phrase: In case of an emergency, call 911.

    I hope this helps!

    Mary

Question Re: How do we use' in case' and 'in case of'? What is the difference between them?

'in case' + clause = 'in case that' / 'in the event that' + clause
'in cae of' + noun object

In case of rain, the event will be cancelled =
In case it rains, the event will be cancelled.

    Am I right?

    Thanks
