    about tense

    Hi teachers,
    for this sentence 'Tell me when you have some free time.',which is the tense of the underlined words?And why?

    It's the simple present. Although it has future meaning, we use the present tense after conjunctions of time, like when/as soon as/ etc.

    The police caught him when he steals again. correct?
    The police caught him When he stole again. correct?
    She will be there as soon as she finishes her works. correct?
    She would be there as soon as she finished her works. correct?
    She was there as soon as she finished her works. correct?

    The police caught him when he stole again. correct?
    She will be there as soon as she finishes her work. correct?
    She would be there as soon as she finished her work. correct? (It's incomplete- She would be there as soon as she finished her work, if her boss weren't so mean.)
    She was there as soon as she finished her work. correct?
    PS- use 'work' not 'works' here.
