I wonder if I can omit the article or not.

    Hi teachers:
I would like to ask a question grammatically.
I wonder what sentences below I may write:
1.May I buy the book and the pencil?
2 May I buy the book and pencil?

I wonder if I should omit the second definite article "the " shirt or not .
    Could you help me?
    Thanks a lot!

Which of these sentences below is correct, in your opinion?
