    Could you please verify the correct English for the following:

    talk TO a subject (eg. global warming)

    talk ABOUT a subject

    Well, if u consider 'To a Subject', here the subject would be the receiver of the action whereas when u say 'About a Subject', here the subject would have its literal meaning, as in a topic.. Considering the exampke given by you, the 'About a subject' would be appropriate.
