    Cool Markerist style of filmmaking

    Please, given this sentence:

"I worry that I have, at least momentarily, succumbed, in places, to a Markerist style of filmmaking"

What's understood as "Markerist style of filmmaking?

Perhaps a filmmaking style referring no History memory?

The author is referring to the style of film-making demonstrated by Chris Marker, a French film director (b. 1921). His work gives primacy to narration, and less emphasis to the images displayed. He has even produced films with no, or almost no, moving images at all.

Thank You very much. I know Marker! (saw La Jetée) Very helpful your indication.
