    turkey soda

The turkey soda takes the work, worries and cost out of preparing a turkey dinner.

    Does the sentence mean:

When you prepare to eat a turkey dinner, the "turkey soda" (a drink?) would make you indulge into enjoying the dinner, regardless of how busy your work is, how many things worry you, and how expensive the dinner costs.

Am I on the right track?

    Context:
Turkey & Gravy Soda. That's just one of the weird, holiday drinks from Jones Soda. There's also Green Bean Casserole and Mashed Potato & Butter. All have no carbs and no calories. The turkey soda, jokes CEO Peter van Stolk, "takes the work, worries and cost out of preparing a turkey dinner."

Turkey soda - I heard about that one. It's by Jones Soda and it's a meal replacement for those that have no time to cook. In other words, you get to DRINK turkey with gravy... no, thank you. Suprisingly, these promotional (limited edition) packages are selling very well. I guess it's really just a novelty as I can't see a real turkey being replaced by a liquid substitute any time soon.

They will soon sell syringe to inject the pre-digested turkey into your stomach "Save the chewing time, avoid toothaches and keep a fresh breath!"

Or maybe you'll be able to pay someone to eat the meal for you. ;)

If you're going to mix Coca Cola and poultry, I'd appreciate some Coca Cola chicken. :D

Good one, Francois! They sell Nicorettes (nicotine patches) so how about a turkey patch instead. No one needs to be poked with needles. And to compansate for the lack of flavor, let's make it a "scratch and sniff" patch - enough to get your taste buds going!

I've had a hard time to read the Natalie's reply:

    1) Patch: A dressing or covering applied to protect a wound or sore?

    2) "Scratch and sniff"? I think "sniff" refers to "inhale", but can scratch refer to "make a wound"?

A nicotine patch is like some sort of plaster with active substance on it that helps reducing the need for cigarettes.
A scratch-and-sniff patch contains some flagrance/flavor that the patch gives off when scratched.

In both cases, no one is hurt

Very cool. But the word "flagrance" freaked me out. I doubt that meant "profound evil". Finally I figured it out as "fragrance".
