Smile Children who speak no English

    Hi,

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for help.

I'm a teacher at a primary school and we have had quite a few children enrol who do not speak any english at all. We are not given any trainign or support to to help these children.

I am looking for some activities, games, lessons that start right at the basics eg-hello, names, letters etc.

    Thanks

Wink Re: Children who speak no English

Hi! I'm a non native English speaker but I started learning Rnglish since I was a toddler. My parents read me English books, they recidte nursery rhymes and poems, they sing English songs and that's how I learned it. The point here is constant listening to English words and siongs would make children retentive. It would improve their retention skill. That is best the suuggestion I have for you.
