    Please can someone help me find the proper noun in the following sentence The public lost faith in information after they laid off all their older employees.

    Hi Diane,

    Welcome to the forum!

    In "traditional grammar", proper nouns refer to unique entities and, in English, are capitalized (Frank, Boston, Niagara Falls).

    If you apply this definition to your question, what proper nouns can you find?
