    Would you be kind enough to tell me your preference concerning the following sentences?

    1.We will write the suppliers a letter.
    2.We will write a letter to the suppliers.

    Both correct. I will prefer the 1st one.

    2.We will write a letter to the suppliers. - In this case different letters to many suppliers based on Product, Time, Quality, Quantity etc.

    Both are used, the second one is better because it is clear that you are writing to the suppliers; the second could mean that you are writing a letter for the suppliers (perhaps they can't write).
