    Default 'To talk round corners'?

Could anyone explain to me a meaning of this idiom? I found it in the lyrics of a song by Genesis called Down and Out. I am currently translating it into polish and can not get to any clue.

    Dear Bingola:

Could you supply a bit more of the lyrics? This might help with understanding the phrase.

    yours,

I checked out the lyrics online. I think the singer means: 'Speak directly; say what you mean'.
An expression you could use is: 'be a straight talker'. 'Straight talk' is very frank speech. It can carry the connotation of honest speech, especially about something unpleasant, or something people feel uncomfortable discussing.

    All best wishes,

    Petra
