    pronunciations

    My sweetest and respected teachers,
    1 : "I have stopped watching T.V. since last two monts'' correc?
    2 : ''As lots of words have two different pronunciations when they are used as verbs and nouns like ''certificate' has two different pronunciations'' but I'm sure only one pronunciation is used when we speak so which one should I use 'the verb one or noun one'?

    1a. I haven't watched TV for the last 2 months.
    1b. I stopped watching TV two months ago.

    2. Pronunciation means spoken language only.

    Ex: I refuse [ri:fjuz] to take out the refuse [rɛfjuz].

    Izzatso? In Br English the noun would end with an [s] sound. {I knew about the difference in the unstressed vowel of the verb ([ɪ]).}
