    Longman Dictionary of Common Errors

    Good evening,

is this book unique (esp. for intermediate,upper-intermediate level), what's Your opinion?
Have you read some reviews? Do you know any other books devoted to errors?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jiri Lindovsky

Re: Longman Dictionary of Common Errors

Well of course it's unique - unless it infringes copyright. The question is, is it any good? I'm afraid I don't know.

(Sorry to be so unhelpful, but I'm quite sensitive to the abuse of "unique".)

There are books like Fowler's Dictionary of Modern Usage, Gower's Plain Words, though this sort of book is generally targetted at native speakers. Thios site, and there is a book to go with it, might be of interest:
