    Gender of DEATH

What is usual gender of Death in English? I've seen in a dictionary that it's of masculine gender, due to the image of Gream Reaper. But, I've also seen a film where Death was shown as a woman (so there it was of feminine gender, like it is in Russian). Thanks in advance!

Death has no official gender in English. When it's anthropomorphized, it's usually as a man, but not always.
