    work hand in hand

I am grateful for the hard work and perseverance of our fellow believers, our two assistant priests and my family members who work hand in hand to weather the turbulent periods.

Is 'work hand in hand' correctly used in the above sentence?

    Many thanks.

    Re: work hand in hand

If you are talking about them working together on a project in the past, it would be "worked hand in hand."
