    1. I have taken 3 test before, and I will be taking another 3 test next week.
    Future Continuous is preferable.
    (Why?)

Re: will, be going to, and present continuous as a future

    Hello,
    Why not :
I have taken 3 test before, and I will have taken another 3 tests by the end of next week.

    Cheers,

    Why not :
I have taken 3 test before, and I will have taken another 3 test by the end of next week.

If this is in accord with the facts, then it is both grammatically correct and appropriate.

...but "...and I will be taking another 3 test next week."
why is Future Continuous preferable to using the Future form of the verb?

Because the Future Continuous implies something happening within the time limits (next week is limited to seven days at the most). You will be in the middle of the process of taking another three tests next week. It's just like saying I am taking another three tests this week.

Re: will, be going to, and present continuous as a future

    Hello,
The question was : "which one is correct"
Let me rephrase the question and add one more.

Is any of the sentences ungrammatical ?
What is the context in which each of the grammatical correct sentences would be used ?

    1. I have taken 3 test before, and I will take another three tests next week.
    2. I have taken 3 test before, and I am going to take another three tests next week.
    3. I have taken 3 test before, and I am taking another three tests next week.
    4. I have taken 3 test before, and I will be taking another three tests next week.
    5. I have taken 3 test before, and I will have taken another three tests by the end of next week.

    Cheers,

Re: will, be going to, and present continuous as a future

Thanks to all.... and i'm really sorry if my english isn't good yet, coz i'm still learning. as my main language is Bahasa Indonesia, it is a bit hard for me to learn it.

So, is it right if i make conclusions like this:

"be going to" and "present continuous as a future" are used in a fixed plan, while "will" is use for willingness. Is that right??
