    Cool nominative absolute

    Help! I need to find examples of nominative absolute in different works of literature. I know what it is, I just don't know how or where to look!

    Well, to get you started, the Second Amendment is a textbook example of a nominative absolute:

    "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."
