    Default have/get

    (1) Let's go have something to eat
    (2) Let's go get something to eat

Is there a differeence between "(1)" and (2)?

I think that [have something to eat] means that you go some place and stay to eat something, [get something to eat] means that you bring something to eat and go another place to enjoy it. I wish it is true!

those certainly are valid, but (2) can also mean the same thing as (1)

    (1) means go and stay there to eat
    (2) means go and stay there to eat OR go and pick it up and then go elsewhere (or return)
