    Default Sound joining

    I was told that when native speakers talk the sounds can join. I was given these examples.

    mice pies = my spies
    ice cream = i scream
    car pit = carpet
    send the maid = send them aid

    Why does this happen???
    Are there other examples???

    These are slips of the ear, i.e. errors in the perception of casual conversation.

    I thought all languages ran their words together. No?
