Are there something wrong in this short statement ?

More investments on students' sport facilities provide another wide stage for students to develop their interests. As we all know, universities are the places where students not only study, but also forster their interests and career. A number of famous athletes sprang up from the well-equiped universities. For instance, Michael Jordan's basketball skill developed rapidly during the campus life in University of North Carolina, which has a famous troudition of basketball.

Sports contribute to cultivate good personalities for students, such as competitive and team spirit. Both competition and cooperation are good for further career of the youth. In a football game, everyone is encouraged to cooperate with team mates and struggle for the same goal. Life is just like a sport game, especially in such a society with fierce competition. To cooperate, one will make his achievement more easily and not be defeated by opponents.

Thank you for your correction in advance!
