    Pronunciation

    Dear ALL,

    English is my second language.

I have been never learned phonetic symbols and would like to know how can I understand phonetic symbols?

Are there any free online resources (with sounds)?

It is a problem that I cannot pronoun everytime I meet new vocabulary. I think if I can understand phonetic symbols, the situation will be improved.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Pronunciation

to hear any word pronounced, see this site

these definition - Dictionary - MSN Encarta

type in your word in the box at the top, press the button Dictionary, and you wlll be given a written meaning of the word; then press the green button on the right as many times as you want, and you will hear the word pronounced.
