    foundations

Please help me with the following in bold.

    1. The tactic of seeking to give a positive perception through charitable work is now fairly commonplace, usually within their own company 'foundations' to ensure control and the achievement of corporate objectives rather than just donating money.

In the above I'm confused about the meaning of 'foundations'. Does it refer to "an organization that gives money to a charity?"

    2. Staff of a global retailer told me that their colloquial term for potential shoplifters was TGB---Thieving G**** B****rds.

I know "G****" refers to some kind of four-letter word (I can guess what "B****rds" refers to). Although it may not be appropriate to express it here, could you let me know the whole word of "G****" if it's possible?

    Thank you.

Let's find out! I'll bet it stands for "God-damned."

    Thank you.
    You're welcome!
