    Question teaching vocabulary

    what do you think is the best way to teach new vocabulary (for foreign language learners)

    It depends on class, level, which vocabulary, etc. There really is no single best way IMO.

    I was thinking of how to teach new words...I read an article by Mr. Jonathan Newton and there he suggests that communicative tasks can be used for learning new words. I think that this goes for the learners who already have some experiences with foreign language (in that case English) but not for the beginners. I think that for little children (in our country they start to learn English at the age of 9, 10) the best way to present new words is through games. what do u think?

    Games are good, but there is some evidence to suggest that children remember the games better than the words.
