    Can you give us the context in which you found this?

    To recompose the face of someone would mean that you are about to bat them up so hard that their facial features are no longer recognizable.

    No, it's not that... the context: we are talking about crows and that they don't compose the face of Jesus.

    The way in which the crows were flying or sitting made a pattern that looked like the face of Jesus - they composed the face of Jesus.
