replacing of the Participle Construction by the Gerund Construction

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my rewording of the following sentences?

Having translated the text, the student gave his translation to the teachr.
After translating the text, the student gave his translation to the teacher.

Having come home, I set to work at once.
Aster coming home, I set to work at once.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

    Yes, bar the typos

BTW, the text/his translation- I'd use a pronoun to avoid overloading the sentence.
