    Default Jerome K. Jerome

The "Three Men In A Boat" author's name is Jerome K. Jerome. I've heard that his first name and surname, although spelt identically, are pronounced differently; unfortunately I have never had a chance to hear those names being pronounced by a native speaker of English. If such a difference exists, what does it consist in?

    Thanks in advance.

I've no idea. Though, according to one site dedicated to JKJ, "his friends called him J ", so maybe his name is pronounced,

First name, Jerome as in jet
Last name, Jerome as in jury

There's also, Jerome as in azure (French version)

Thank you, Casiopea. I still cannot rule out a possibility that the information on the difference in pronunciation I got was not accurate.

I've never heard them pronounced differently.
