a right expression for the Chinese proverb?

    Hello Everyone,

In the address of news conference by Premier WEN JIA BO a few days ago, he took a famous proverb, namely SHAN CHONG SHUI FU YI WU LU, LIU AN HUA MING YOU YI CUN, one of its meaning , according to my understanding is that, among lots of difficulties that make one despair and which seems that they can't be solved, and sudden and unexpect chance occur and the difficulty is handled finally just as you are lost in a deep and moutainous area and almost in despair, suddenly a person come in front of you and promise to take you out?

I would like to know here if there is a proper experession to descibe the situation?

    Regards

    Richard

    Dear Konugursvia,

Many thanks for your post. I think your version is equal to the meaning of the Chinese proverb.

I would also like to know here if the English version is also a proverb in English and if it is common in daily English?

    Thanks once again!

    Regard

It is common, and it is a proverb, though there are many variations of it.

    Thanks, Anglika.

I am wondering here whether you can give us a daily English dialogue, using one of the proverb?

    Regards
