    Default Ending a transactional letter

    Hello,

My current question is whether it sounds appropriate to end a transactional letter to a respectable partner with the following sentence:

'Please accept the assurances of our highest consideration'

In your opinion, doesn't it sound a bit pompous?

    Regards,

    Tee Kay

Yeah - you may want to keep it short and sweet - best regards, sincerely ... or even looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, Twostep, that's basically what I thought. What I didn't mention in my original post is that it wasn't just an ordinary transactional letter and the addressee is a rather special person, too. Anyway, I've decided to do it your way and keep it short and sweet, 'yours sincerely' and that's it, leaving the 'assurances of highest consideration' for statespersons.

    Regards,

    Tee Kay
