    Default He may be sleeping." vs "He might be sleeping

    My dear and respected teacher,
    1: "Hello, child...Where's your dad?I have some work with him.Please tell him to come out." correct?
    2: "It may have rained". incorrect?
    3: "It might have rained." correct?
    4: "He may be sleeping." AND "He might be sleeping." What's the difference please?

    1. OK
    2. No, it is fine.
    2 = 3 in terms of probability
    4. with 'might' the probability is lower
