    Smile What does ' be it ever so common' mean?

    What does ' be it ever so common' mean?
    plz explain the following phrases in the parenthesis as well.
    and I wonder if that are commonly used.

    (Be it true or not), it is not worth considering.
    (Say what you will), no one believes him .

    It means "even if it is very common." "Be it true or not" means whether it is true or false, while "Say what you will" means whatever you might think. These are poetic and no longer vernacular.
