    xxx speaking vs this is xxx

    Which is correct when answering a business phone:

    Good Morning, Mr. Smith's office, Jane speaking

    or

    Good Morning, Mr. Smith's office, this is Jane.

    Both are correct. The first sounds more formal to me.
