    Unhappy Few/Little

Would these sentences be correct, if used either in few/little?

    1) I carried little weight.

Now this sentence confuses me. I don't know whether to include,a few or few, and also if it's possible to use little in the sentence. And is it,a little or little

There are (a few, few) people in the store

    Please explain

I carry little weight - I do not have much to say.
You can say "there are little people in the store" - you will be refering to children or people of small size.

If memory does not fail me you can count few but not little.
