    Default Teacher of English as a foreign language

    Do we say tag question or question tag ?

    Which of the following 2 sentences is correct :

    1) Have you got some butter left ?
    2) Have you got any butter left ?

    A) It's a "tag question."

    For question 1), you think the answer might be "yes."
    For 2), you really don't know what the answer is.
