Default The world forgetting, by the world forgot? What does this mean?

Hi, I have a quote I don't understand. Can you explain it for me?

"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd"

I only understand the first line. 'Blameless' means innocent, 'lot' means one's luck or situation in life, destiny. 'Vestal' is a female priest or goddess or something, I'm not really sure. So the first line means that how happy one would be if one is blameless, innocent, forgetful.

But I don't understand the next 3 lines.

Can you explain them and analyze the grammer for me? Thanks in advance.

I get this quote from the movie "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind."

It's about a poor person who the world keeps forgetting. He is forgotten by the world.

It's better to think of the vestals as nuns, cut off from the world in their convents.
"The world forgetting, by the world forgot."
The vestals forget the world (they take no notice of it); and the world forgets them.
Having a spotless (same as blameless) mind is like being in eternal sunshine.
Each of their prayers is accepted (by God, I guess); and each of their wishes is resigned (they are resigned to not having their wishes fulfilled, if that is the will of God).
