    Default Sentence Meaning

    What does this setence mean? I don't understand the last part.

    1. Colors were pleasant to look at, if not accurate.

    The colors were not accurate but they were pleasant (eg. on a photography, digital camera etc.)

    I don't get the 'if not accurate' part. How come they don't say 'The colours were pleasant to look at even though they're not accurate.' Could you give me an another example that has something like the 'if not accurate' part?
