    Quarter to? Quarter till?

When telling time, is it more correct to say "quarter to three" or "quarter till three"?

In what parts of the world would it be more correct?

Specifically, in America would it be more correct generally speaking or would parts of America tend to lean one way or the other?

All of the following are "American English". They are not in any particular order:

    quarter to three
    quarter of three
    quarter before three
quarter until three ~ quarter till three

No need to apologize. All great writers write what they know.
