    Usage Statute and statue.

    Hello,

I have a question regarding the usage of statute and statue. I recently read through some company financial statements and noticed the use of the word statue where I thought statute should be used. Example: "as provided by statue 10-32.29". Is this a correct usage of statue? I looked at an online dictionary and found the definitions to the two words but did not find a definitive answer to using statue where statute seems appropriate. Please site a source and thanks for the help!!

Simple typo. It is an error and should of course be statute.
