    Psychoanalysis is a method of analysing the mind. It was invented by Sigmund Freud about 100 years ago. It is now a trendy method of literary criticism. Do not ask me why teachers expect complete novices to psychology or literary criticism to understand it.

    The question asks you to:
    1. understand psychoanalytic theory
    2. read and understand Hamlet, noting the supernatural elements.
    3. Discuss 2. with reference to 1.
