Default even greater promise of your future?

    Hello Everyone,

In the following sentence, what even greater promise of your future mean , esp "promise" ?

The American people deeply admire China for its thousands ofyears of contributions to culture and religion, to philosophy and the art, to science and technology.. Now we see China at a moment in history when your glorious past is matched by your present sweepingtransformation and the even greater promise of your future.

    Regards

And Can I understand the sentence this way:

We see china at a moment in history when it is undergoing profound changes. This period can be matched by its splendid past. And It is expected that China will have a even brighter future?

    Thanks and best Regards
